41/1 May 41, 1943  Kiel, SY All went well in outward leg. Superficial damage only. Bombed target successfully.
During the homeward leg and still over Kiel, flak caused starboard wing fuel tank fire and the order to bail out was given.
Three crewman were killed due to bailout mishaps while the rest parachuted into enemy territory.
