aerial combat action of the 306th Bomb Group (H) based at Thurleigh,
England during
World War Two.
The fictitious
918th Bomb Group (H) at Archbury, England is based upon the novel and
movie "Twelve
O'clock High" written by Beirne Lay Jr. and Sy Bartlett. The movie was
produced by 20th
Century Fox.
"20th Century
Fox also produced twelve O’clock High” as a TV
series during the 1960s.
