The 918th Bomb Group (H) is dedicated to the men and women who served during World
War Two. They fought and died to protect the freedom of the United States of America.

This Web site is personally dedicated to WWII B-17 Tail Gunner and Flight Engineer
Gene "Wing Ding" Carson.

The 918th Bomb Group (H) at Archbury, England is a Web site for individuals that love to
do hanger etalk about World War II, USAAF history, uniforms, gear, equipment, and
aircraft.

The 918th Bomb Group (H) conducts historical simulated bombing missions with the B-17
Computer Emulator and board game "B-17 Queen of the Skies".  The missions are based
on the actual aerial combat action of the 306th Bomb Group (H) based at Thurleigh,
England during World War Two.

The fictitious 918th Bomb Group (H) at Archbury, England is based upon the novel and
movie "Twelve O'clock High" written by Beirne Lay Jr. and Sy Bartlett. The movie was
produced by 20th Century Fox.

"20th Century Fox also produced twelve O’clock High” as a TV series during the 1960s.

The 918th Bomb Group (H) also enjoys WWII movies such as "Command Decision", "The
War Lover", "The Memphis Belle" and other WWII literature.
